2023 Law Day Legal Clinic

We are looking for attorney volunteers for this year’s Law Day Legal Clinic!

Law Day is held in early May every year to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession. For years, Skagit Legal Aid and the Skagit County Bar Association have jointly hosted a Law Day Legal Clinic where anyone from Skagit County can meet with an attorney about a variety of civil legal issues, including but not limited to the following:

• Housing (Real Property, Landlord/Tenant, Mobile Homes)
• Family (Divorce, Parenting Plan, Child or Spousal Support)
• Advanced Planning (Powers of Attorneys, Wills, and Estates)
• Post Conviction Support (Legal Financial Obligations and Vacating Convictions)
• Debt (Bankruptcy, Consumer Debt Collection, Small Claims)
• General Civil (Non-Criminal) Legal Issues

Date/Time:

• This year the Law Day Legal Clinic will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023.
• There will be an additional Immigration Law Day Legal Clinic on Friday, May 5, 2023.
• Two different volunteer shifts are available each day: 11:00am to 2:00pm and 1:30pm to 4:00pm.

Location:

Both Legal Clinics will be held at the Skagit Valley College, in the Multipurpose Room in the Cardinal Center located at 2405 E. College Way, Mount Vernon, Washington 98273.
